Although the grant was written by 4 teachers it was decided that all 6 classrooms would participate. This year our school had 120 students and they all got a chance to interact with the iPods, Flip cameras and Mac Books. Without a doubt the biggest hit has been the iPod-touch and the apps that were purchased. The iPods were used either in small group instruction or as a center. Students became very proficient using the ipod-touches. They found the app they were looking for quickly and maneuvered well through all the screens. Often I would find students coaching others on how to use the app as well as where to find it on the iPod. Students also loved taking the iPods home and sharing them with their family. I am proud to say we didn't lose a single iPod. Parents would come to school to pick up and drop off the iPods. Next year, we will start earlier in the year with our technology and have students work more on the Mac books. What an amazing learning experience we have had this year!
